（五）多种译法相结合
由于英汉典故含有丰富的英汉文化内涵，在翻译过程中我们要运用不同的翻

译策略来实现翻译目标。有时我们要运用多种方法相结合的方式来翻译英汉典故。
例如：邯郸学步 To walk as the people of the state of Han Dan do, which means
to imitate awkwardly.Note: This allusion can go back to a legend that a youster from
the state of Chinese ancient Yang saw the walking style of the Handans was graceful,
then tired to imitate the walking manner, only finding that he did not learn anything at

all and had forgotten his original joking manner. This allusion is now use to ridicule
those people who imitate blindly. 在这个典故翻译中，译者运用了多种译法相结
合，如直译法（To walk as the people of the state of Han Dan do）、增译法（which

means to imitate awkwardly）、注释法（Note：）等生动而形象地译出了富含中
国文化的典故。
