PREF ACE

The Khorchin dialect of Mongolian occupies a unique position in the vast
territory of Mongolian language and culture, carrying the historical memory and

cultural context of specific regions and groups. With the development of the times,
the need for in-depth exploration has become increasingly urgent.

Throughout history, the linguistic community has paid certain attention to
the study of minority languages, and the Khorchin dialect has also accumulated
a certain amount of research in this academic perspective. However, existing

research results have not yet fully and deeply presented the full picture of the
Khorchin dialect, and there are still many areas that can be expanded and refined.

In the context of rapid social changes today, the use of Khorchin dialect has
become complex and diverse. In some traditional folk activities, folk exchanges,
and specific cultural inheritance scenes, the Khorchin dialect still has a vivid

presentation and is an indispensable part of local cultural inheritance. However,
it cannot be ignored that due to the comprehensive influence of various factors
in the modernization process, its scope of use has shrunk to a certain extent, and

its inheritance and development face many practical difficulties. Therefore, a
detailed examination of its current situation, in-depth analysis of its problems and
challenges, is of great significance for effectively protecting and inheriting this

unique language and cultural resource.
This book strives to conduct a multidimensional investigation of the
