Huang: Haha, then how can we develop the creative industry?
Participant F: That’s why I say the fundamental reason for the under-protection of intellectual
property right in China is the under-developed economy. Once a work is charged, the
number of audience will significantly reduce.
Huang: I remember you went to the cinema quite often when you are in the university. So
why are you willing to pay for movies?
Participant F: Am I? Hahaha. Maybe I went to cinema not for the film but for dating with my
boyfriend. The value of going to cinema is not merely the movie itself, but the audio and
visual experience. After all, we can see the same movie online for free several months
later. We do not have to go to cinema if our sole purpose is to protect copyright.
