participation is also investigated in this chapter. It demonstrates that Weibo has already
become an online public sphere with its own characteristics. In the end of this chapter,
I identify the potential problems of Weibo being the online public sphere, which can be
solved through the collective efforts of all three factors in the triangular system.
Chapter 8 summarises the key findings and implications of this book, and gives
a comprehensive answer to the research questions. It indicates the theoretical and prac-
tical contributions of the book and acknowledges its limitations. Suggestions for future
research bring the book to a close.
