PREFACE
In the context of the booming global sports industry, campus sports, as an
important field for the cultivation and comprehensive development of the physical
and mental health of young people, have increasingly highlighted their value. It is
not only a fundamental way to strengthen physical functions and improve physical
fitness, but also a key carrier to temper willpower, cultivate teamwork spirit, and
shape a sound personality. It plays an irreplaceable positive role in the growth
process of adolescents. Skating, as a sport that combines strong competitiveness,
high entertainment value, and profound cultural connotations, is gradually
becoming a shining star in the campus sports system, injecting a continuous stream
of vitality into the diversified development of campus sports. From the lightning
fast speed and passion displayed in speed skating, to the dreamlike and elegant
dance moves presented in figure skating, and to the thrilling and passionate intense
competition in ice hockey, ice skating, with its colorful and unique charm, is
attracting more and more young people to actively participate in ice sports.
This book focuses on the application of ice skating teaching in campus
sports, and deeply analyzes the promotion strategies, teaching practice paths, event
organization models, and sustainable development directions of ice skating in
campus environments from multiple dimensions. By tracing the development of
ice skating from the ancient ice travel mode in Northern Europe to the modern and
globally popular sports competition, the aim is to explore its profound historical
and cultural heritage, and provide rich historical materials and cultural background
support for campus ice skating teaching; Interpret national and local policies and
