PREFACE
In the long river of human civilization, agriculture has always been the
cornerstone of maintaining social stability and development. From primitive slash
and burn farming to today’s smart agriculture, every innovation in agricultural
planting technology has profoundly influenced the progress of human society.
Currently, the world is facing multiple challenges such as population growth,
intensified resource constraints, and ecological environment degradation. How to
achieve sustainable development of agriculture while ensuring food security has
become an urgent issue for all mankind to solve. The birth of the book Agricultural
Planting Technology Management and Sustainable Development is an important
attempt to respond to the needs of this era.
Looking back at the history of agricultural development, every technological
breakthrough has brought about a leap in productivity. In the era of traditional
agriculture, farmers relied on the experience accumulated over generations
to develop planting methods that were tailored to local conditions, forming
intelligent planting patterns such as intercropping and crop rotation. However,
with the acceleration of industrialization, modern agriculture characterized by
a large amount of fertilizer and pesticide inputs has significantly increased food
production in the short term, but it has also caused a series of ecological problems
such as soil degradation, water pollution, and reduced biodiversity. At the same
time, the frequent occurrence of quality and safety issues in agricultural products
and the growing demand from consumers for healthy and green agricultural
products pose serious challenges to traditional agricultural planting models.
In this context, innovation in agricultural planting technology and changes
in management models are imperative. This book starts from the basic theory of
agricultural planting technology and systematically elaborates on core technical
points such as soil management, seed treatment, planting mode optimization,
