Research on Financial Development Mechanism and Path of Forestry Carbon
Sequestration in Developing Countries under Double Carbon Targets
Innovation-driven: The combination of low-carbon e-commerce and forestry car-
bon sinks provides a strong impetus for green innovation. Through technological re-
search and development, mode innovation and other means, promote the deep integra-
tion of low-carbon e-commerce and forestry carbon sinks, realize resource sharing and
complementary advantages, and promote the rapid development of green industry.
As the pace of global green development accelerates, the relationship between
low-carbon e-commerce and forestry carbon sinks will become closer. In the future,
we are expected to see more low-carbon e-commerce platforms cooperate with forestry
carbon sink projects to jointly promote the vigorous development of green consumption
and ecological construction. At the same time, the government, enterprises and all sec-
tors of society should also strengthen cooperation, improve relevant policies and reg-
ulations, raise public awareness of environmental protection, and jointly promote the
global green development process. As a dual engine of green development, low-carbon
e-commerce and forestry carbon sinks are jointly assisting the global response to the
challenge of climate change. By strengthening cooperation, promoting innovation and
improving policies, we are confident to usher in a greener and better future.
Section 1 Relationship between Carbon Border Regu-
lation Mechanism (CBAM) and EU Carbon Market
1.1 the definition and background of CBAM
1.1.1 the concept and purpose of CBAM
On July 14, 2021, the European Commission issued the European Union Carbon
Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), which plans to formally levy a carbon border
adjustment tax on some goods imported by the European Union from 2026 onwards.
This has aroused strong reactions from the international community. India, Russia,
South Africa, Brazil and other countries are worried that CBAM may have a negative
impact on trade and economy. In March 2022, the CBAM was passed by the EU Coun-
cil. China should plan ahead for a rainy day, do a good job in tracking, assessment and
early warning, fully link domestic peak carbon dioxide emissions’s carbon neutral ac-
tion, and prepare for the EU’s carbon border adjustment mechanism.
