greater than the installed capacity. If only the type of distributed photovoltaic power
generation projects is developed, it is not conducive to the planning and construction of
the carbon asset management system of power generation enterprises.
The implementation of the carbon asset management strategy based on the carbon
emission management system will align the carbon asset management with the business
areas, development objectives and strategic planning of the enterprise; Normalizing the
management of carbon assets will achieve the goal of maximizing the efficiency of car-
bon asset management. China has not yet established a unified national carbon trading
market, and is currently in a critical stage of transition from a regional market to a uni-
fied national market. Basically, a set of gradually iterative market mechanism has been
established to help China transition to low-carbon environmental protection. As the
carbon markets in various regions are still in the initial stage of operation, the legal sys-
tem, supporting system, accounting report and verification system, performance mecha-
nism, trading mechanism and other elements of the future carbon market are constantly
developing and improving. During this period, it is very important to improve the car-
bon asset management capability of power enterprises as soon as possible.
First, it is necessary to enhance the informatization level of the carbon asset man-
agement system in order to create a digital economic platform, promote carbon asset
cloud management and safeguard carbon asset management. Second, it attaches im-
portance to the implementation of full-cycle management of carbon emission data,
and uses the corporate carbon asset management system to make real-time statistics
and monitor changes in corporate carbon asset management and carbon emission data.
Third, innovation of low-carbon technologies is the top priority for the sustainable
development of carbon asset management. For example, power generation enterprises
can speed up the research and development of power control technologies, research and
develop new technologies for a new generation of virtual power plants, and actively
promote application technologies such as new energy power generation. Fourthly, we
should actively participate in the construction of the national carbon market, track pol-
icy changes, develop renewable energy carbon emission reduction projects in a timely
manner, and train talents for the company’s carbon assets reserve. Fifth, accelerate the
construction of a comprehensive carbon asset management mechanism covering the
entire process of “data management, transaction and performance”, give full play to
the advantages of “Industry-University-Research-based” integration of enterprises, cul-
tivate new businesses in the carbon market, and promote the transformation of power
