             Wilderness Anthology

                                        Being Humble

                                        The Highest of the high,
                                       the glory above all glories.
The honorable one with all brightness,
the holy one without any falseness.

                                           To live in death,
                                        to confront difficulties.
No beauty or majesty to attract,
but only in sorrows and sufferings.

                                        Thinking day and night
                                     flows living boundless water.
                                          Ceaseless reliance
                                       infuses ardent expectation.

                                 Contempt and mockery pouring down,
pitfall is set to pry into and trap.
                                    Bartering and betrayal tying up,
                                   slander and slaughter join together.

                                     Forgive what is unforgivable,
                                       pay off what is unpayable.
Perfect substitute offsets stacks and stacks of debts,
the life deprived conceives passion from generation to generation.

“He made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.”
