旷野诗选
Wilderness Anthology
Laboring
Worked with my own hands
to joint planks, screw down nails,
install wheels and fasten flowerpot.
I borrowed some soil in the spring wind
and walked through the road paved by petals.
Buried sapling and seedling
to sow eagerness and anticipation.
When the last hint of sunset color disappeared,
I watered and fertilized
to imagine the bouquets of flowers
and expect fruitful embellishment on branches.
Spring, please don’t always show uncertain weather
in case of they waiting for sunshine.
Summer, please don’t always pelt down
in case of damaging branches and leaves.
Autumn, could you remain longer
to enjoy the pleasure of harvest?
Winter, could you leave quickly
to come back to the initial life circle?
However ——
has it made you too weak or fragile
to bear wind and rain?
