In today’s booming modern automotive industry, the performance and quality
of automobiles have become the focus of consumer attention. As a key component
of the automotive suspension system, the shock absorber plays a crucial role in the
smoothness, handling stability, and ride comfort of the vehicle. It is like a “buffer”
for cars, which can effectively absorb and attenuate vibrations and impacts caused
by uneven road surfaces, creating a smooth and comfortable driving experience for
drivers and passengers.
The book Theory and Practice of Manufacturing Process for Automotive
Suspension Shock Absorbers has emerged, aiming to deeply analyze the entire
process of automotive suspension shock absorbers from basic theory to actual
manufacturing technology, and provide comprehensive and systematic knowledge
references for researchers, engineers, and practitioners in related fields.
From a fundamental theoretical perspective, the design of shock absorbers
involves the interdisciplinary integration of multiple disciplines. The principles
of hydraulic damping, dynamic models, thermodynamic effects, and other related
knowledge provide a solid theoretical foundation for optimizing the performance
of shock absorbers. Through the theoretical comparison between double tube
and single tube shock absorbers, as well as the vibration coupling analysis of the
shock absorber vehicle system, we can gain a deeper understanding of the working
principle and performance of shock absorbers under different working conditions.
Meanwhile, with the continuous advancement of technology, the emergence of
new types of shock absorbers such as magnetorheological shock absorbers and
adjustable damping shock absorbers has also brought new opportunities and
challenges to the development of automotive suspension systems.
