organizations, establishing a robust resource guarantee mechanism is crucial. Resource guar-
antees encompass multiple aspects including fundraising and volunteer team development.
Regarding fundraising, communities and civil organizations can secure funds through
various channels. They may apply for project grants from relevant government departments,
as many local governments have established environmental protection special funds to sup-
port climate change response initiatives. Collaborating with enterprises for public sponsor-
ship activities is another approach. Driven by social responsibility and brand image consider-
ations, companies are willing to provide financial support for climate actions. Communities
and civil organizations can sign cooperation agreements with enterprises: companies contrib-
ute funds, while communities and organizations promote the enterprises’ environmental con-
cepts and products during project implementation, achieving mutual benefits. Additionally,
communities and civil organizations canleverage crowdfunding platformsto raise funds from
the public. Detailed explanations of climate projects’ content, objectives, and expected out-
comes should be provided to attract voluntary public donations.
Volunteer team building is another crucial aspect. Communities and civil organizations
need to establish comprehensive mechanisms for volunteer recruitment, training, and man-
agement. For recruitment, disseminate information through multiple channels such as com-
munity bulletins, social media platforms, and public welfare events to attract participants of
diverse ages, professions, and skill sets. In training, implement targeted programs based on
project requirements: volunteers participating in community energy-saving retrofitting proj-
ects should receive technical training in energy conservation, while those involved in climate
education initiatives should undergo instruction in pedagogical methods and climate science.
For management, develop incentive mechanisms that recognize and reward outstanding
volunteers through certificates of honor, training opportunities, and other forms of acknowl-
edgment to enhance participation enthusiasm and foster a sense of belonging. With stable
funding sources and robust volunteer teams, communities and civil organizations can sustain
various climate actions and make enduring contributions to addressing climate change.
