             3.2 Technology and Practice of E-commerce Low-carbon Lo-
             gistics



             3.2.1 the application of green logistics technology

                 Low-carbon life Logistics is to apply advanced low-carbon technology to all as-
             pects of the logistics operation process to achieve environmental protection, resource
             conservation and reduce pollutant emissions.
                 Japanese scholar Mao yang has given a calculation and a formula of international
             and regional carbon emissions, revealing the four factors that drive carbon emissions:
             emissions = population x GDP per capita x energy consumption per unit of GDP x car-
             bon emissions per unit of energy consumption
                 Logistics itself is one of the major energy consuming industries and a major carbon
             emitter. According to the estimation of relevant departments, the oil consumption of the
             logistics industry accounts for one-third of the total oil consumption of the whole soci-
             ety, while the energy consumption of different modes of transportation is different. The
             energy consumption per ton-kilometer truck is 1.41MT, the railway is 0.45MT, the ship
             is 0.55MT, and the airplane is 22 mt. The ratio of carbon dioxide emissions per ton ki-
             lometer for trucks, railways, ships and aviation is 5: 1: 2: 75. Logistics is a system engi-
             neering, which has the functions of transportation, storage, packaging, loading and un-
             loading, handling, processing, distribution, logistics information, etc. The development
             of low-carbon logistics must be supported by a large number of advanced low-carbon
             logistics technologies, so that the operation of the whole logistics system can meet the
             low-carbon standard. The basic processes of logistics operation in low-carbon life in-
             clude: low-carbon transportation, low-carbon storage, low-carbon distribution process-
             ing, low-carbon packaging and waste recycling.
                 The development of logistics industry has brought global problems. In order to
             meet the rapid economic and social development, high-frequency transportation gen-
             erates a large amount of air and noise pollution, which also leads to the deterioration
             of the living environment. Compared with developed countries, China’s waste of re-
             sources in the field of logistics is serious. A large amount of waste of resources not only
             affects the leading position of logistics industry in economic globalization, but also
             may delay the process of economic development due to environmental deterioration.
             The deteriorating environment will affect and restrict the development of the logistics
             industry. Therefore, the logistics industry must consider the harmonious development
