The commonly used acupoints in TCM acupuncture therapy include the following:

天：以“天”字命名的穴位，涉及 10 条经脉的 16 个穴位。
Tian (sky): The acupoints named after “Tian”, including 16 acupoints involving 10 meridians.
肺经 - 天府，大肠经 - 天鼎，胃经 - 天枢，脾经 - 天溪，胆经 - 天冲，小肠经 - 天宗、天窗、天容，
膀胱经 - 通天、天柱，心包经 - 天池、天泉，三焦经 - 天井、天髎、天牖，任脉 - 天突；
Lung Meridian-Tianfu, Large Intestine Meridian-Tianding, Stomach Meridian-Tian Shu, Spleen Meridian-
Tianxi, Gallbladder Meridian-Tianchong, Small Intestine Meridian-Tianzong, Tianchuang and Tianrong,
Bladder Meridian-Tongtian and Tianzhu, Pericardium Meridian-Tianchi and Tian Quan, Sanjiao Meridian-
Tianjing, Tianliao and Tianyou, Conception Meridian-Tiantu;
以“天”命名的穴位，基本都处于人体的上焦和头面部（因为对于直立的人体而言，上为天下为地），
只有 1 个穴例外，它就是胃经上的天枢穴，天即天空，枢即枢纽。
The acupoints named after “Tian” are basically located in the upper-jiao and head and face of the human
body (because for the upright human body, the top is the sky and the bottom is the ground), except for one
point, Tianshu acpoint, it is on the stomach meridian, where “Tian” refers to the sky and “Shu” refers
to the pivot.
地：以“地”命名的穴位，涉及 3 条经脉的 3 个穴位。
Di (ground): The acupoints named after “Di”, including 3 acupoints involving 3 meridians.
胃经 - 地仓，脾经 - 地机，胆经 - 地五会；“地者，元气之所生，万物之祖也。” 以地命名的穴位，
必定气血充盈，气血深聚之要穴。
Stomach Meridian-Dicang, Spleen Meridian-Diji, Gallbladder Meridian-Diwuhui. “The ground is where
vitality is originated, and the source of all things,” so acupoints named after the ground must be the key
points fully filled with vigorous qi and blood.
海：以“海”命名的穴位，涉及 6 条经脉的 6 个穴位，以及 1 个经外奇穴。
Hai (sea): The acupoints named after “Hai”, including 6 acupoints involving 6 meridians, as well as 1
non-meridian extra acupoint.
脾经 - 血海，心经 - 少海，小肠经 - 小海，膀胱经 - 气海俞，肾经 - 照海，任脉 - 气海，经外奇
穴头顶部 - 海泉；凡是带“海”字的穴，全是气血的调节库，都是精气聚集的地方。
Spleen Meridian-Xuehai, Heart Meridian-Shaohai, Small Intestine Meridian-Xiaohai, Bladder Meridian-
Qihaishu, Kidney Meridian-Zhaohai, Conception Meridian-Qihai, and Non-meridian extra acupoint at
Vertex-Haiquan. All the acupoints with the word “Hai” are all the regulating reservoirs of qi and blood,
where essence qi gathers.
