responsibility, and spirit of cooperation.
The writing of this book is not only a systematic summary of past practical
experience, but also a positive exploration of future educational models. The book
is divided into six chapters, revolving around the core theme of “Woodworking
Maker Space”, progressing from theoretical construction to practical application
layer by layer. Chapter One elaborates on the research background and significance
of woodworking maker spaces through literature review and current situation
analysis; Chapter 2 analyzes the theoretical relationship between woodworking
activities and the cultivation of children’s innovative abilities from the perspectives
of education and psychology; Chapter 3 focuses on the specific details of spatial
design, providing actionable construction guidelines for the park; Chapters four to
five showcase the design logic and implementation effects of woodworking small
maker activities through a large number of cases; The final chapter summarizes the
research findings and proposes future research directions.
Here, I would like to express my special thanks to my team members, the
teachers and children of the cooperative park. It is their wisdom and enthusiasm
that make the exploration of the woodworking maker space full of vitality. At the
same time, I also hope that this book can provide valuable references for preschool
educators, researchers, and parents to jointly promote the cultivation of children’s
innovative abilities to a higher level. As Einstein once said, “Imagination is more
important than knowledge.” May the Woodworking Maker Space become the
starting point for igniting the fire of innovation in young children!
