courses and teaching materials.
3. Improve Assessment and Feedback Mechanisms
The international community needs to refine assessment and feedback mechanisms to
ensure the effectiveness and sustainability of climate education. Countries should employ
questionnaires, interviews, and program evaluations to understand public feedback and
demands for climate education, continuously improving its content and delivery formats.
For example, UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization)
evaluates the implementation effectiveness and challenges of climate education worldwide
through its Global Climate Education Assessment Project, providing scientific foundations
for climate education enhancements.
Climate education is an important pathway to enhance public climate awareness and
promote societal engagement in climate action. Schools and communities, as primary plat-
forms for climate education, bear the crucial responsibility of disseminating climate knowl-
edge and fostering climate literacy. School education cultivates students’ understanding of
climate change and response capabilities through systematic curriculum design and teaching
activities; community education enhances public awareness and participation in climate
change through diverse educational formats and activities. While climate education plays a
significant role in improving public climate awareness, its implementation still faces numer-
ous challenges. Future research should further explore the mechanisms and challenges of
climate education, develop scientifically sound climate education strategies tailored to differ-
ent national contexts and development stages, and provide scientific foundations for global
climate governance.
II. Citizen Science Projects
Citizen Science Projects are a vital form of public participation in scientific research,
enhancing public awareness and engagement in climate change through encouraging public
involvement in data collection, analysis, and research. As a complex global issue, climate
change requires extensive public participation and scientific support. By integrating scientific
research with public engagement, Citizen Science Projects not only improve the efficiency
and scope of scientific studies but also strengthen public scientific literacy and environmental
consciousness.

Bird observation serves as a classic case in Citizen Science Projects. Through public
