4. Relax the left hip joint, and turn the torso slightly left, with the weight
shifting left into a left-weighted, front bow-stance. The right foot twining reversely
takes a small step backward, the heel on the ground. At the same time, the left palm
twining reversely pushes up and left, facing forward (east), the fingers pointing up
and right; and the right hand twining reversely rotates in, the heart of fist facing out
(east), the face of fist against the right rib, the right elbow closing in. The eyes look
forward (east). (Figure 44-4)
5. Relax the right hip joint, and turn the torso right, with the weight shift-
ing onto the right leg. At the same time, with the heel off the ground, the left foot
twining directly sweeps backward in an outer arc on the ball to rest inside the right
one, the left heel corresponding with the right one. The left palm twining directly
withdraws in an outer arc to pause in front of the abdomen, facing right, the fingers
pointing down to the left front, the left elbow protruding. (Figure 44-5)
6. Turn the torso further right. At the same time, the right palm twining di-
rectly goes up and right, the fingers pointing up and right; and the left foot twining
reversely takes a step left, the heel on the ground. The eyes look left. (Figure 44-6)
7. With the heel pivoting, the left foot turns out, and the weight shifts left.
With the heel off the ground, the right foot sweeps forward in an outer arc on the
ball, the body turning left, the feet almost parallel with each other, the toes pointing
northeast. At the same time, the left palm twining reversely pushes up and left in an
outer arc, facing out, the fingers pointing up and right, the right elbow closing in.
