IV. Postures of Chen Taijiquan Routine II (Cannon Fist)
10. Relax the left hip joint. Sink the left buttock and turn the right one, with
the torso turning left. At the same time, the right fist twining reversely punches spi-
rally up, right and forward (east by south) in a concave curve, level with the right
shoulder, with the heart of fist facing down, mingmen (GV4) slightly expanded.
With the left chest being opened, the left palm turns into a half-clenched fist to
grasp back, with the heart of fist against the left rib, the left elbow protruding. The
eyes look right and forward. (Figure 31-10)

Posture 32 Zhuan Shen Liu He
(Turn Around with Six Harmonies)
1. Relax the right hip joint, and turn the torso right. Move the crotch in a shal-
low concave curve to shift the weight right. With the heel pivoting, the left foot
turns in on the ball. At the same time, the left half-clenched fist makes a fist, twin-
ing reversely to push left and down, outside the left hip, the heart of fist facing left
and down; the right fist twines reversely to push right and up, slightly higher than
the right shoulder, the heart of fist facing right and up, the right elbow aligning with
the right knee. The arms are rounded, leaving the armpits empty. The eyes look
right and forward. (Figure 32-1)

With the left leg twining reversely and the right one further directly, the
weight shifts onto the left leg. With the body turning right, the right foot and the
left one skip-step left in sequence to form a left-weighted, horse-riding stance,
the torso facing south. At the same time, the left fist twines first directly to close
inward in a convex curve, and then reversely to thrusts down, pausing in front of
the crotch, the face of fist facing down, the eye of fist facing in, the left elbow pro-
