                  Legends 传说

                  The story best known in modern China holds that the festival commemorates the
             death of the patriotic poet Qu Yuan (340BC-278 BC). It’s said that the local people,
             who admired him, raced out in their boats to save him. This is said to have been the
             origin of dragon boat races.

                  关于端午节的来历,现代中国最流行的说法是端午节是为了纪念爱国诗人屈
             原(公元前 340 一公元前 278 年)。据说,当地人们争相划船去救他,而后来成
             为赛龙舟的传统。
                  Traditions 传统风俗

                  Three of the most widespread activities for the Dragon Boat Festival are eating
             Zongzi, drinking realgar wine, and racing dragon boats.
                  端午节最普遍的风俗是吃粽子、喝雄黄酒、赛龙舟。
                  Other common activities include hanging up icons of ZhongKui, hanging mugwort
             and calamus, taking long walks, and wearing perfumed medicine bag.

                  其他的风俗还有挂钟馗像、悬挂菖蒲和艾草、游百病,佩香囊。
                  03.The Mid-Autumn Festival 中秋节
                  The Mid-Autumn Festival is a harvest festival celebrated  by Chinese. The festival

             is held on the 15th day of the eighth month in the Chinese lunar l calendar.
                  中秋节是人们庆祝丰收的中国传统节日。中秋节在农历八月十五日。
                  Origins and Development 起源与发展
                  Chinese people have celebrated the harvest during the autumn full moon since
             the Shang Dynasty. People originally worshiped Mountain Gods after the harvest was

             completed. The celebration as a festival only started to gain popularity during the early
             Tang Dynasty.
                  自商朝以来,人们有在秋季满月的时候庆祝丰收的传统。刚开始的时候,人

             们完成收割,就祭祀山神。到了唐朝初期,这种庆典仪式就开始普及起来。
