Sequestration in Developing Countries under Double Carbon Targets

e-commerce model with the digital economy, in which the former uses the Internet, big
data and new technologies to improve the production model, factors of production and
             the organizational form of enterprises.
Data from the Ministry of Commerce show that in 2023, e-commerce continued
to drive consumption growth. From January to November, the national online retail
sales amounted to RMB14 trillion, up 11% year-on-year, and the contribution rate of
the physical net to the social zero growth reached 31.4%, accounting for 27.5% of the
social zero, a record high. The “Double Eleven” has further released consumer demand.
According to the Business Big Data Monitor (the same below), in the month of Novem-
ber, the net zero growth rate was 1.7 percentage points faster than the previous month.
The popularity of digital, green and health consumption has increased, and the sales of
smart watches, environmental protection coatings and health massagers have increased
by more than 50% year-on-year. New Year’s Day and Spring Festival are approaching
to activate the online travel market, with overseas travel online sales increasing more
             than 10 times year-on-year.
First of all, e-commerce provides a broader market space. Traditional physical re-
tail is limited by factors such as geographical location and store size, and cannot fully
meet the needs of consumers. E-commerce, through the global coverage of the Internet,
eliminates the limitation of time and space, enabling consumers to make online shop-
ping anytime and anywhere. This has provided opportunities for enterprises to expand
their sales scope and explore new markets, and promoted the rapid growth of online
             sales.
Secondly, e-commerce provides a more convenient shopping experience. Online
shopping is open 24 hours a day without queuing and convenient transportation. Con-
sumers can complete shopping in a few simple steps, which is convenient and fast. In
addition, the e-commerce platform provides diversified payment methods and distribu-
tion services, further enhancing the convenience of shopping. This convenient shopping
experience has attracted more and more consumers to choose online shopping and pro-
moted the growth of online sales.
Third, e-commerce provides a richer choice of goods. Traditional physical retail
stores cannot display large quantities of goods at the same time due to factors such as
size and logistics. On the other hand, the e-commerce platform can provide thousands
of kinds of goods for consumers to choose from, covering various categories and price
segments, and meeting the needs of different consumers. This rich choice of goods has
brought consumers more options to purchase, prompting them to be more willing to
