Sequestration in Developing Countries under Double Carbon Targets
2.3 Low-carbon Practice of E-commerce Enterprises
2.3.1 low-carbon supply chain management
With the development of electronic technology and the Internet, information tech-
nology has been introduced into business activities as a tool, which has created a new
business operation mode-e-commerce. At the same time, entrepreneurs in China have
gradually realized that in the 21st century of economic globalization, the competition
between enterprises will undoubtedly be the competition between supply chains. The
integration of e-commerce and supply chain management has completely changed the
original interaction mode and implementation means of logistics, information flow and
capital flow in the supply chain, making full use of resources, improving efficiency,
reducing costs and improving service quality. However, with the worsening of global
environmental problems, the environmental laws and regulations of various countries
are becoming more and more strict, and the green barriers of various countries are con-
stantly strengthening. Enterprises are under pressure from various aspects of environ-
mental protection. Green supply chain management, which embodies the green image
of the enterprise, emphasizes the overall and long-term interests and highlights the en-
vironmental concerns of each link, which is a new development trend of supply chain
management.
At a time when environmental issues and green barriers are of global concern,
how to effectively solve environmental issues and deal with the severe challenges of
green barriers has become a key issue in supply chain management. The “end-of-pipe”
approach in enterprise production increases the production cost of the enterprise and
causes serious pollution and damages the image of the enterprise. Therefore, it is par-
ticularly important. Effective environmental management is a powerful weapon to im-
prove core competitiveness. Green supply chain management, which integrates the idea
of sustainable development into the production and operation of enterprises, is just such
a management model that can achieve win-win results in economy and environment. It
is a new strategic model for enterprise development and an inevitable trend for the de-
velopment of supply chain management of enterprises in our country. Moreover, under
the e-commerce environment, this model can enable enterprises in the supply chain to
further improve their efficiency, optimize the use of resources, achieve rapid market re-
sponse, reduce the time lag of operation, improve customer service and seek to expand
new market opportunities, and ultimately obtain optimal economic and social benefits.
