—— Ahaz and Hoshea
Ahaz, the king of south, lost his mind on the right way,
but sacrificed son in the fire to provoke abomination.
Relying on Assyria by sending silver and gold as a pay,
it would rather seek for foreign country’s protection.
To learn from idol rituals with wicked affections and lusts,
the imitation involved the whole country into devil’s hole.
The king of north conspired with Egypt to be traitorous,
not paying tribute to Assyria until to be put in jail.
Following the customs of other nations with inward disobedience,
people heaped teachers by themselves but rejected the ordinances.
With heart and soul in great consideration to worship idols,
they were exiled and resettled by selling their faithfulness.
Being plundered in profanity incurred lions to kill blasphemers,
the predator even taught them how to serve by the greatest words.
“So the people of Israel were taken from their homeland into exile in Assyria, and they are still there.”
