4. Hook
Bunch together the fingertips, with the
wrist bended. A hook consists of: ①the top of
hook, and ②the tip of hook.

5. Horse-riding stance
Stand with feet anywhere between shoul-
der-width and twice shoulder-width apart, and
the toes pointing forward. Sink straight down as
far as you can go without leaning. The two legs
bear equal weight.
6. Right/Left-weighted, horse-riding
stance
Sometimes, a horse-riding stance is
right-weighted or left-weighted, so a right/left
-weighted, horse-riding stance is formed.
7. Front bow-stance
Both feet stand apart with one in front. The
front leg is bent, with the toes pointing forward,
the knee pointing in the same direction as the
toes, but not exceeding them. The rear leg is
slightly bent, with the toes turned in at a 45-de-
gree angle. The weight is more on the front leg.
When the left leg is in front, it is a left-weight-
ed, front bow-stance; when the right leg is in
front, it is a right-weighted, front bow-stance.
