PREFACE












                     Medical education focuses more on the curriculum design of the medical
                 profession itself in terms of teaching content. Emphasize the cultivation and
                 improvement of students’ medical professional skills and professional ethics,
                 enabling them to become doctors with solid theoretical foundations and excellent
                 practical application abilities. However, based on the demand for talent in the
                 real society, the medical field often engages in exchanges and research with peers
                 from different countries, as well as in daily work. As a result, there will be certain
                 requirements for medical students’ English skills. Medical students must be able
                 to continuously improve their overall English proficiency while learning their
                 professional knowledge. Only in this way can we quickly adapt to the increasingly
                 fierce industry competition in the future and not lose employment opportunities
                 due to the lack of language proficiency. From this perspective, it can be seen
                 that improving the effectiveness of English teaching for medical students is very
                 necessary.
                     To better promote the cultivation of composite talents and improve the quality
                 of training, the Ministry of Education continues to advance the construction of
                 new engineering, new medicine, new agriculture, and new humanities. Many
                 universities have also put forward the concept of “new foreign language teaching”
                 and carried out reforms and innovations in foreign language teaching. This
                 concept aims to cultivate composite talents who can better use foreign languages
                 as a bridge for communication and exchange of scientific research achievements
                 and academic exploration in various fields. Among them, with the continuous
                 deepening of cooperation and exchanges in the fields of medical and health care
                 among countries, having high comprehensive quality, mastering medical academic
                 knowledge, solid foreign language skills, and solid professional foreign language
                 comprehensive abilities, and being able to adapt to the needs and development of
