                     Against the backdrop of global climate change, adaptation measures for natural eco-
                 systems have become critically important. Specific measures for natural ecosystems to adapt
                 to climate change include habitat protection and restoration, enhancement of ecological
                 connectivity, and application of ecological restoration technologies. These measures aim to
                 strengthen ecosystem resilience and improve their adaptive capacity to climate change.

                     I. Protecting and Restoring Habitats

                     Exploring strategies to protect existing habitats and restore damaged ecosystems is key
                 to addressing climate change. Habitat protection and restoration are vital for maintaining
                 biodiversity and ecosystem service functions. As the impacts of global climate change inten-
                 sify, ecosystem stability and species survival face unprecedented threats. Therefore, imple-
                 menting effective adaptation measures to protect and restore natural habitats holds significant
                 importance for mitigating climate change impacts, preserving biodiversity, and maintaining
                 ecological balance.
                     (I) The Importance of Habitat Protection
                     Protecting existing habitats is the first step in preventing biodiversity loss. This requires
                 the formulation and enforcement of stringent environmental protection laws and policies,
                 as well as raising public awareness of the importance of ecological conservation. Protective
                 measures include restricting development activities in critical ecosystems such as deforesta-
                 tion, wetland drainage, and coral reef destruction, along with implementing sustainable land
                 management practices. Additionally, habitat protection involves controlling and managing
                 invasive species to reduce their impact on native ecosystems and species.
                     (II) Habitat Restoration Strategies
                     Strategies for restoring damaged ecosystems involve a series of complex ecological en-
                 gineering and biotechnological approaches. These strategies aim to repair impaired ecologi-
                 cal functions and structures, including soil improvement, vegetation restoration, hydrological
                 condition adjustment, and species reintroduction. Restoration efforts typically begin with
                 ecosystem assessments to determine the extent of damage and restoration needs, followed
                 by the development of specific restoration plans. Restoration measures may include manual
                 planting of native vegetation, establishment of ecological buffer zones, water quality im-
                 provement, and provision of wildlife corridors to promote natural ecosystem recovery and
                 enhance its adaptability to climate change.
