lateralism principles and proactive fulfillment of international commitments will collectively
advance global climate governance, preventing detrimental impacts on global climate efforts
from individual countries’ inappropriate actions.

manity through comprehensive advancements across multiple critical dimensions.
In the field of energy transition, developed nations will accelerate their full shift to re-
newable energy. Taking the European Union as an example, its plan over the coming decades
involves significantly increasing the proportion of renewable energy sources like solar, wind,
and hydropower in its overall energy mix. For solar energy utilization, efforts will include
not only large-scale installation of solar photovoltaic panels on urban rooftops but alsoplans
toconstruct large centralized solar power stations. In regions with abundant sunlight resourc-
es, such as parts of Spain, the construction of ultra-large-scale solar photovoltaic plants has
already begun. These facilities use advanced photovoltaictechnologyto efficiently convert so-
lar energy into electricity, which is then integrated into national grids to supply clean power
to surrounding areas. In wind energy development, the construction of offshore wind farms
will become a priority. Countries like Denmark and the United Kingdom are advancing in
offshore windpowerThey have accumulated extensive experience and will further expand the
scale of offshore wind farms in the future, adopting more advanced wind power generation
equipment to enhance wind energy utilization efficiency. Meanwhile, to address the inter-
mittent nature of renewable energy generation, developed countries will continue to increase
R&D investment in energy storage technologies. Currently, lithium-ion battery energy stor-
age technology has made significant progress, but to meet future large-scale energy storage
demands, there will also be active exploration in developing and applying new high-efficien-
cy battery storage systems such as solid-state batteries and flow batteries. These advanced
energy storage technologies will store electricity during periods of oversupply and release it
during peak demand or insufficient renewable energy generation, ensuring the stability and
reliability of energy supply while guaranteeing the steady progression of energy transition.
