              Posture 39   Fan Hua Wu Xiu

                  1. Relax the left hip joint, and turn the torso left, with the weight shifting left
              into a left-weighted, side bow-stance. At the same time, the left palm twining re-
              versely and the right one directly push up and left in a concave curve. The left palm
              ends above the left foot, level with the left shoulder, facing left and forward, with
              the fingers pointing up and right, and the right one in front of the left chest, facing
              left and backward, with the fingers pointing right and forward. The palms have a
              forearm-length separation between them. The eyes look left. (Figure 39-1)
                  2. Relax the right hip joint, and turn the torso right, with the weight shifting
              first right and then left, the left shoulder protruding. At the same time, the left palm
              twining directly and the right one reversely pull right and down in a concave curve,
              with the left one in front of the abdomen, facing up and right, the fingers pointing
              left and forward, and the right one outside the right hip, facing down, the fingers
              pointing left and forward. The eyes look left and forward. (Figure 39-2)

                  3. With the left leg twining directly and the right one reversely, the feet jump
              up. The keens lead energy, with the crotch sinking. The body turns 90 degrees left
              in the air. The feet land on the ground at the same time, forming a horse-riding
              stance, the torso facing southwest. At the same time, with the shoulder joints piv-
              oting, the left palm twining first reversely and then directly and the right one first
              directly and then reversely chop down in a convex curve as the body turns left. The
              right palm ends up facing left, the fingers pointing up, right and forward, the right
