down and their eyes facing in, the elbows protruding, and mingmen (GV4) slightly

5. Relax the right hip joint. Sink the right buttock and turn the left one, with
the torso turning right, the weight shifting left. At the same time, the left elbow
twining directly arcs out and right to pause in front of the left chest, corresponding
with the right knee, with the heart of fist facing in; and the right fist twining direct-
ly arcs right and back to rest outside the right knee, with the heart of fist facing up.
The eyes look right and backward. (Figure 41-5)

6. Relax the left hip joint, and turn the torso left, with the weight sinking
down and right into a right-weighted crouching stance. At the same time, the left
fist twining directly arcs down and left to punch inside the left knee, the heart of fist
facing up, the eye of fist facing left; and the right fist twining reversely arcs out and
up to the upper front of the right shoulder, with the heart of fist facing in, the eye of
fist facing up, the right elbow aligning with the right knee. Baihui (GV20) is gently
pulled up. The eyes look left. (Figure 41-6)
Note: In Movement 3, when the elbows strike inward, the right elbow is prin-
cipal, and the left one is secondary. Movements 5 and 6 should be executed at one
stretch. In the fixed position of Movement 6, the back is held naturally straight and
centered, not arched or hunched.
Posture 42 Mo Mei Hong (Rub Eyebrow Red)
1. With the weight shifting left, the right foot twining directly skip-steps to-
ward the left one, and immediately following it, the left foot twining reversely
kicks left with the heel. With the left heel on the ground, the weight is still more on
