left forearm; and the left one twining directly rotates in, facing in, the back of hand
against the inside part of the right forearm. As the palms rotate, the forearms slight-
ly push out, with mingmen (GV4) expanded. (Figure 3-9)
10. Relax the right hip joint. Sink the right buttock and turn the left one, with
the torso turning right, the weight shifting slightly left, but still more on the right,
into a right-weighted, side bow-stance. At the same time, with the heel pivoting,
the left foot turns in on the ball. The right palm twining reversely arcs slightly up,
out and right to the right front of the right shoulder, facing right (east), the fingers
pointing north, with the right elbow aligning with the right knee, the right palm
with the right foot; and the left palm twining directly pulls down and in to end in
front of dantian, facing up, with the little finger touching the abdomen. The eyes
look at the right hand. (Figure 3-10)

11. Relax the left hip joint, and turn the torso left, with the weight shifting
slightly right. At the same time, the right palm twining directly sinks its base to push
out, facing right and forward, with the fingers pointing up to the right front. Remain-
ing in place, the left palm twining further directly turns out, facing up, with the left
elbow still protruding. The eyes look right and forward (northeast). (Figure 3-11)
Note: In Movement 7, as the inside heel of the right foot touches the ground,
the base of the left palm rests on the right forearm. In Movement 10, when a
right-weighted, side bow-stance is formed, the left foot turns in on the ball.
Posture 4 Liu Feng Si Bi (Six Sealings and Four Closings)
1. Relax the right hip joint. Sink the right buttock and turn the left one, with
the torso turning right, the weight shifting slightly right. At the same time, the right
