                      5. Relax the left hip joint, and turn the torso slightly left, with the weight
shifting right. At the same time, the right palm twining reversely arcs up, out and
right to the upper right front of the right eye; and the left one twining reversely arcs
down, in and left to end outside the left hip. The arms each form an arc with peng
energy, the right hukou corresponding with the left one. The eyes look left and for-
                 ward. (Figure 3-5)
                      6. Relax the right hip joint, and turn the torso right, with the weight shifting
onto the left leg. At the same time, the palms twining directly sink their bases.
With the left hip sinking, turn the torso further right, and lift the right knee
twining slightly directly. At the same time, the left palm twining further directly
ascends to the upper left front of the left eye, facing up to the right front, with the
fingers pointing up to the left front; and the right one twining further directly de-
scends, facing left and forward, with the fingers pointing up to the right front, the
right elbow aligning with the right knee. The bases of palms correspond with each
other. The eyes look right and forward. (Figure 3-6)
                      7. With the toes turned up and in, the right foot twining reversely slide-steps
half a foot backward and right on the inside heel, the weight sinking. At the same
time, the left palm twining reversely descends in a convex curve, and the right one
twining directly ascends in a concave curve. At the end of their travel, the base of
the left palm rests on the right forearm, close to the elbow, with the meeting point
in front of the chest. The left palm faces right, with the fingers pointing up; and the
right one faces up, with the fingers pointing up to the left front. The eyes look right
