right and back (east by south) on the inside heel at a 15-degree angle, the weight
sinking. The eyes look right and forward. (Figure 25-4)
5. Relax the right hip joint, and turn the torso right, with the weight shifting
into a right-weighted, front bow-stance. At the same time, the palms twining re-
versely push right and forward in a concave curve, facing right, the right elbow
aligning with the right knee. The arms each form an arc with peng energy, the right
hukou corresponding with the left. The eyes look right. (Figure 25-5)

Posture 26 Dao Qi Lin (Ride Kylin Backward)
1. Relax the right hip joint, and turn the torso right, with the weight shifting
slightly left. At the same time, the right palm twining reversely arcs up, out and right
to the upper right front of the right shoulder, facing out, the fingers pointing up to
the left front, the right elbow aligning with the right knee; and the left one twining
reversely arcs down, in and left to rest outside the left hip. The arms each form an
arc with peng energy, the right hukou corresponding with the left. (Figure 26-1)
2. Relax the left hip joint, and turn the torso left, with the weight shifting
slightly right. At the same time, the right palm twining directly arcs in and up, level
with the right chest, facing up, with the fingers pointing left and forward; and the
left one twining first directly and then reversely arcs in and down, facing down, with
hukou on the inside part of the right forearm, the fingers pointing in line with the
direction of the right arm, the left elbow protruding. The chest is drawn in, and the
eyes look right and forward. (Figure 26-2)
