up, with the fingers pointing to each other and the elbows drawn in. (Figure 23-7)
8. The palms twining reversely rotate in to end below the ears, facing each
other, with the fingers pointing up and back. The right elbow ends slightly above
the right shoulder, and the left one slightly below the left shoulder. At the same
time, with the toes turned up and in, the right foot twining reversely takes a step
right and back (east by south) on the inside heel at a 15-degree angle, the weight
sinking. The eyes look right and forward. (Figure 23-8)
9. Relax the right hip joint, and turn the torso right, with the weight shifting
into a right-weighted, front bow-stance. At the same time, the palms twining re-
versely push right and forward in a concave curve, facing right, the right elbow
aligning with the right knee. The arms each form an arc with peng energy, the right
hukou corresponding with the left. The eyes look right. (Figure 23-9)
