IV. Postures of Chen Taijiquan Routine II (Cannon Fist)
2. Turn the torso further right, with the weight shifting onto the left leg. At
the same time, the right palm twines directly to arc down and left, pausing in front
of the abdomen, the heart of fist facing up, the eye of fist facing up and right, the
right elbow closing in, aligning with the right knee. The left palm makes a fist, and
twines directly to withdraw left and down, resting against the left rib, the heart of
fist facing up, the eye of fist facing out. With the heel off the ground, the left foot
twining directly arcs backward and right on the inside ball to end inside the left
one, the left heel corresponding with the right one. (Figures 67-2a and 67-2b)
3. The right foot steps northwest, with the toes turned in and up. The right fist
twining directly goes up to the left front. The eyes look right and forward. (Figures
