right (southeast) in a concave curve, with the left one in front of the abdomen,
facing south, the fingers pointing southeast, and the right one over the right foot,
facing out, the fingers pointing up and left, level with the right shoulder, the right
elbow aligning with the right knee. The palms have a forearm-length separation be-
tween them. The eyes look right and forward. (Figure 23-1)
2. Relax the right hip joint, and turn the torso slightly right, with the weight
shifting further left. At the same time, the left palm twining reversely and the right
one directly sink their bases.
Without a pause, relax the left hip joint, and turn the torso left, the weight
shifting right, the right shoulder protruding. At the same time, the left palm twining
further reversely and the right one further directly pull down and left in a concave
curve, with the right one in front of the abdomen, facing up and left, and the left
one outside the left hip, facing down. The fingers of both hands point forward
(southeast). The eyes look right and forward. (Figure 23-2)
3. Relax the right hip joint, and turn the torso right, with the weight shifting
slightly left, but still more on the right, to form a right-weighted, side bow-stance,
the left foot turning in around the heel. At the same time, the left palm twining
directly and the right one reversely sink their bases to push right and forward in a
concave curve, the left one in front of the abdomen, facing southwest, the fingers
pointing southeast, and the right one above the right foot, facing out, the fingers
pointing up and left, level with the shoulder, the right elbow aligning with the right
knee. The palms have the length of a forearm between them. The eyes look right
and forward. (Figure 23-3)
