the torso turning right. At the same time, the left palm twining reversely pushes
right in a slight convex curve, slightly above the shoulder, facing right, with the
fingers pointing up and right; and the right one twining directly withdraws in to end
under the left elbow, the wrist flexed in, facing up, the fingers pointing in, the right
elbow protruding. At the end of their travel, the palms have a forearm-length sepa-
ration between them, with the arms rounded. (Figure 20-2)
3. Relax the left hip joint. Sink the left buttock and turn the right one, with the
torso turning left. At the same time, the right palm twining reversely pushes right
in a slight convex curve, slightly above the shoulder, facing right, with the fingers
pointing up and left; and the left one twining directly withdraws in to end under
the right elbow, the wrist flexed in, facing up, the fingers pointing in, the left elbow
protruding. At the end of their travel, the palms have a forearm-length separation
between them, with the arms rounded. (Figure 20-3)

4. The weight shifts onto the left leg. At the same time, with the left hip sink-
ing, the left foot turns in around the heel, the body turning right, the right knee
lifting. With the right chest opened, the right palm twining directly withdraws in to
rest in front of the abdomen, facing up, the little finger touching the abdomen; the
left palm twining reversely pushes left in a convex curve, slightly over the shoul-
der, facing left. The torso faces south, and the eyes look left and forward. (Figure
20-4)
