to pause in front of the abdomen in a concave curve. As the feet land on the ground,
the fists twining reversely push forward in a convex curve, the hearts of fists facing
in, the eyes of fists facing up, the left elbow aligning with the left knee, the right one
in front of the chest. The left-weighted, front bow-stance remains. The eyes look for-
ward (west). (Figure 60)

Posture 61 Yu Nü Chuan Suo (Fairy Threads Shuttles)
1. The weight shifts onto the right leg. With the right hip sinking, the left knee
twining reversely lifts, the torso turning slightly right. At the same time, with the
right chest opened, the right fist twining directly withdraws to end against the right
rib, the heart of fist facing up; and the left one twining slightly directly punches for-
ward in a concave curve, the heart of fist facing up, the left elbow aligning with the
left knee. The eyes look forward (west). (Figure 61-1)
2. The left foot takes a step forward (west), the heel touching the ground. With
the ball of the left foot landing on the ground solidly, the weight shifts onto the
left leg. The right foot takes a step forward, the heel touching the ground, the body
turning left. The right fist twining reversely punches forward in a convex curve,
level with the right shoulder, the heart of fist facing down, the face of fist facing
forward. The left fist twining reversely punches forward in a convex curve, parallel
with the right one, the heart of fist facing down, the face of fist facing forward. The
arms each forms an arc. The eyes look forward (west). (Figure 61-2)
