the left fist with the left foot. The fists have a forearm-length separation between
them. (Figure 7-2)
3. Relax the right hip, and turn the torso right, with the weight shifting first
left and then right into a left-weighted, side bow-stance. At the same time, the left
fist twining directly and the right one reversely pull right and down in a concave
curve. The left fist ends in front of the abdomen, the heart of fist pointing up, the
eye of fist facing left, the left shoulder protruding; and the right one outside the
right knee, the heart of fist pointing down, the eye of fist facing left. the left shoul-
der protruding. The fists have a forearm-length separation between them. The eyes
look left. (Figure 7-3)
4. The feet push against the ground to jump up (the knees leading), with the
body turning left. As the feet land on the ground, they form a horse-riding stance,
the torso facing southwest. At the same time, with the shoulder joints pivoting, the
left fist twining first reversely and then directly, moves first in an outer arc and then
in an inner arc to end in front of the abdomen, the heart of fist facing in and the eye
of fist facing up; and the right fist twining directly, punches down in a convex curve
to the upper front of the left one, the heart of fist facing in and the eye of fist facing
up. The fists have a forearm-length separation between them. The eyes look forward.

5. Relax the right hip joint, and turn the torso right, the weight shifting left. At
the same time, with the shoulders sinking and elbows dropping, the fists twining re-
versely push out, the hearts of fists facing out, the arms each forming an arc. (Figure
